DT's Zbrush WIP

Postby _DT_ » Sun Feb 14, 2010 1:30 pm

Well, I've decided to get into Zbrush since that's the way of things for gaming now. I wanted to try out sculpting the human form, and decided to use Big Gun's Arnold model for reference. ;)

I knocked up a torso in max:

But I decided I wanted to sculpt the detail if I could, so then I made this simplified body:

And took it into Zbrush:

Mostly using the move tool, and the standard tool a bit. Updates will be posted when available. :D

Started on the legs and forearms. Fixed the abs, feet & head a little:

Proportion doesn't feel natural at all, but may just be the posing and the way the camera is looking at it.

Not to be a bitch but what we're seeing is what you can actualy make in 3DS max even without ZBrush, ZBrush is mainly to make the body look more realistic with grunge effects, blood circulation that you see if you've trained a bit, muscle buffs, tight tissue, marks of old skin, wrinkles.

Ofcourse ZBrush is faster in this sense, but when you're actualy modeling you need a low poly model set so it's adviced to start with a 3DS/XSI basic mesh.
